Returning to winning ways will be top of the agenda for Norwich City and Watford when they face off on Saturday. Playing at home, Norwich will hope for some uplifting in this match. Predictions favor a Watford win but they’ve also struggled in recent outings.

Amankwah Forson scored an own goal at Swansea to condemn Norwich to a third loss of the season. Before that 1-0 defeat the Canaries had beaten Coventry City for their first league win of the season.

Their only other victory this season was against Stevenage in the League Cup, which they’ve since been eliminated. Johannes Thorup’s side has a run of five games in eight in the Championship, where they failed to score.

They’ll be confident of doing better at home, having gone undefeated in 18 matches there. The last five produced draws.

Recent matches have marked a slower movement for Watford, who opened the season on a strong run. The Hornets come into this game having failed to win in their last two matches.

For a team that bagged five straight wins earlier, this represents a stumble they’d want to address immediately. The international break saw a loss in their momentum, Watford returning to a 1-0 loss at Sheffield United.

In their most recent encounter, they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Coventry City. Tom Cleverley will have to craft a formula for consistency ahead of tough outings in the coming few weeks.

Three of their next four matches will be away from home, among them against Manchester City in the League Cup.
