Norwich City will be out to secure their place in the Championship top six when they host Swansea on Saturday. Heading into this game, Norwich are three points ahead of seventh place, while Swansea start the game placed 14th. Hosts Norwich will all but secure their spot in the top six with a win here, backed by a superior goal difference. Save for two draws and a loss in the last eight matches, the recent outings have brought out the best of Norwich City. They won five of those eight games, getting them close to confirming their place in the top six. A 1-1 draw with Bristol City in their last game, however, didn’t do them a lot of favors. While we expect them to eventually make it to the playoffs, they must improve on the two draws they managed in the last three matches. Against Bristol City, they had to come from behind, Borja Sainz scoring the equalizer three minutes after concession. Playing at home will work well for the Canaries, having not lost any of their last 15 games there. This season, in 23 home matches, Norwich lost just four times.

Swansea City will come into this game without any pressure at all. Their fate as far as promotion is concerned was sealed long ago. They aren’t in contention for a top six place, and neither are they in danger of relegation. It leaves them with just a top half spot to play for. Having beaten Norwich City in three of their last four meetings, Swansea will come here confident of extending this run. In the reverse fixture, Bashir Humphreys’ late goal secured a 2-1 win for the Swans. Three straight wins ahead of this clash secured Swansea’s stay in the Championship, all coming with clean sheets. The most recent of those ended 4-0 away to struggling Huddersfield. Two of those wins were against sides in the relegation zone, and the level of difficulty will be elevated against Norwich. It doesn’t help that Swansea have just one win in five away matches ahead of this.
