Norwich City are eight points behind the final promotion play-off position. They are 11th in the Championship and on Tuesday are home to fourth-placed Sunderland. Can the Canaries get three vital home points? Time for our match prediction.

There are just six games of the regular season to play. This is going to be a tough week for City as after hosting Sunderland, they travel to league leaders Burnley at the weekend. Their slim promotion hopes could well fade away completely this week.

The weekend did not go well for them as they lost 2-1 away at relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle. Only two of their last six league games have been won. 

Sunderland are almost certain to finish fourth in the table. They are 13 points behind third place but 15 ahead of fifth. It's a question of them staying in form until the play-offs come around. Saturday saw them win 1-0 at West Brom.

That was their second successive league victory and only one of their last six in the Championship has been lost. Nine away league games have been won this season but two of the last four lost. They won the reverse fixture 2-1.
