Norwich vs Sunderland Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Norwich will seek to claw closer to the promotion playoff places in the English Championship when they host Sunderland next. They are currently in seventh place after 34 rounds of play while Sunderland are five points behind in 10th. Norwich haven’t lost any of their last five matches and have won three times. They earned a point last time out away to Blackburn thanks to a 1-1 draw. This halted a two-game winning run and a third victory could have moved them into the top six. David Wagner’s men are now on 52 points and three points outside the playoff places. They have managed 15 wins with 10 of those coming with them as the host team. The Canaries haven’t lost a home fixture since last November and have won four straight at Carrow Road.

Sunderland have over the years dominated this fixture and will hope to continue with this as they seek a return to winning ways. They have won four of the last six meetings with Norwich and thumped them 3-1 in the reverse match back in October. The Black Cats, who have won two in a row against Norwich, were 1-0 victors the last time they were at Carrow Road. Mike Dodds’ charges will however have to be at their absolute best if they are to keep this run going. Sunderland are going through the wringer at the moment and have lost their last three matches. They were defeated 2-1 at home by Swansea last time out to suffer their 15th loss of the season. This left them with 47 points, eight adrift of the playoff places. Sunderland have managed just one away league win in their last 12 such matches and have lost seven times.
