In a clash between two sides trying to stake early claims for promotion, Norwich City will host Leicester. This Championship matchday seven will be played at the Carrow Road on Wednesday with the hosts 4th in the standings with 13 points and the visitors 2nd with 15 points. Norwich are just three points behind leaders Preston while ninth-placed Southampton are three points behind them, so they would be careful of a slip. The challenge for Leicester is to find a way past their midweek blues as the Foxes have won just one of their last six midweek league games, drawing two and losing four. While that is a record they would like to change, Leicester will be quietly confident looking at how they have travelled this season. The Foxes have won all five of their competitive away matches this season, three in the league and two in the EFL Cup. What more, four of those wins have seen them score at least two goals, so the wins have been relatively comfortable.
