For the second time this season Bristol Rovers will meet a Championship side a cup game. They will be traveling to Norwich City in the FA Cup this Saturday seeking a return to winning ways. Like Bristol Rovers, Norwich City will also hope to rise back to winning ways. The hosts have failed to win any of their last three matches, losing two of them. There was a marked improvement though in their last game, coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Southampton. Josh Sargent’s goal in that game was their first in three matches. Meanwhile, they have just one clean sheet in the last five matches. Both sides have scored in five of Norwich’s last nine matches. This will be the fourth time Norwich meet Bristol Rovers. All the previous three were in League One, the last being in 2010. Norwich have never lost to Bristol Rovers in their earlier meetings.

Bristol Rovers will be seeking their first ever win over Norwich going into this game. The one area they will want to address heading into this game, is their defence. The visitors have managed just two clean sheets in their last 18 matches. Coming into this game, however, they have failed to score in just one of their last 20 matches. A combination of consistent attack and a not-so-solid defence has meant both sides scored in most of their recent matches. In their last 10 matches, both teams managed to score. Heading into this game, they lost 3-2 away to Wycombe Wanderers. That was the second time in four matches that they conceded three goals. It was however the fourth time in five matches that they scored more than a goal.
