Nigeria will kick off their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title defence against Malawi on Tuesday evening. The Super Falcons are on a four-match win streak, and our prediction is that they will be far too strong for the Scorchers in this match.
Nigeria enter the 2026 WAFCON as the most successful nation in the history of the competition. This is their 14th appearance in the tournament, and they have clinched the title on 10 occasions.

The Scorchers lost both their warm-up matches, a 4-0 defeat to Ghana after a 2-1 loss to Morocco earlier this month. They are now winless in their last six games in all competitions (D1 L5).
Malawi also failed to score in four of their last five matches and conceded 15 goals across this period.
