Nice will embrace with both arms a return home for their next Ligue 1 match when they host Monaco. It hasn’t been a great campaign so far for Les Aiglons but they’ll target being the first to beat Les Monégasques this season. Read on for our prediction of this match.
Nice posted the biggest win in Ligue 1 so far, beating Saint Etienne 8-0 in September. That was their second win of the season. Six matches later, they haven't won more.
It says a lot about their capability that Nice’s wins came against promoted sides. Heading here, they lost 1-0 to Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
Monaco were also on European duty in midweek, beating Red Star Belgrade 5-1. They have a good run against Nice, winning three of the last five meetings and only losing twice in nine.
That, and the backing of a strong start to the season means they come here as the favorites. The last time these sides met, Monaco won 3-2 and they look set to extend this run.
In the current campaign, they have played 11 matches and are yet to lose, while winning eight. In Ligue 1, Monaco only dropped points in draws with Lille and Lens. They go into this game level on points with PSG.
