Napoli will look to maintain their lead at the top of the 2024-25 Serie A standings as they welcome a competitive Como side for matchday seven. This match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples on Friday comes with our prediction of being a high-scoring encounter with at least three goals in the offing.
After six matches, Napoli lead the table with 13 points and have a one-point advantage over Juventus. Como are on the up, starting this round in tenth place with eight points and three above the bottom-three. Napoli are coming off a 2-0 win over Monza last time out, which extended their unbeaten run to six matches. They have won five and drawn one in this sequence, which also included a 5-0 win over Palermo in Coppa Italia.
That win has come at this venue, where Napoli have a very impressive record of late. They have won all five matches they played here this season, including three in Serie A. Como started their life in top-flight competition with no wins across the first four matches, drawing and losing two each. Yet, with two wins in their recent two league games, Como have momentum in their corner and could prove to be a tricky team to face.
Both those wins have come by a 3-2 scoreline, with Atalanta and Verona being the opponents. The win over Atalanta came on the road, which is a huge morale booster, but Como will be wary that they could only get one point from three away matches prior to that.
