Napoli are surprisingly struggling in Serie A, and their troubles were compounded by a losing outing in Europe. The former Italian champions look to bounce back on Sunday when they host Bologna. The last meeting between these sides yielded five goals, and this prediction leans towards another high-scoring encounter.
Both Napoli and Bologna should have had more than they got in their last Serie A outings. Napoli led 2-0 against Inter Milan in their last league outing but were disappointing as they went on to lose 3-2.
They had another tough outing in the Champions League, meeting English giants Arsenal, and they suffered a 1-0 defeat. Having earlier lost 2-1 to Como, Napoli will need to go back to the drawing board.
Bologna find Napoli at their most vulnerable, dealing with three straight defeats, and the visitors will hope to take advantage.
However, they are also having their own struggles, as they come seeking a first win of the season. Bologna will be blaming themselves for only collecting one point in their last outing.
The Rossoblu twice trailed Sassuolo but fought out a 2-2 draw. In a very frustrating outing, manager Domenico Tedesco was shown a red card and will subsequently not be in the dugout for this game.
