Nantes vs Angers Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Nantes will welcome Angers on the final day of the 2022/23 French Ligue 1 season on Saturday hoping to do enough to survive. Angers are already relegated but Nantes, in 17th place, still have a chance. Nantes come to this match two points from safety. They will need to win here to have any hope of avoiding relegation to Ligue 2. If they do get the win, then Auxerre must match that result due to their inferior goal difference compared with Nantes.  Pierre Aristouy’s charges will however have to dig deep to achieve their end of the spectrum. Les Canaris are without a win in nine straight matches with six of those ending in defeat. They have lost their last two fixtures and were beaten 2-1 by Lille last time out.

Angers have already been relegated and are also assured of finishing bottom of the table. Alexandre Dujeux’s men have lost the most number of matches, at 27 and are currently on 18 points. They however won last time out, beating fellow relegated side Troyes 2-1. Their fourth win of the campaign extended their unbeaten run to two matches. Before a two-all draw with Reims, Angers had lost five straight games. They haven’t won against Nantes in six successive matches but will be confident of victory as they have the better form coming into this match.
