Munster are playing catch-up in Pool 2 of the European Rugby Champions Cup. They are sixth and bottom of the pool after losing their opening game last weekend but will hope to get off the mark when hosting second-placed Gloucester. Read our match prediction below.
The Irish club need a top four finish to reach the knockout stages and are only behind that position on points difference. Last weekend saw them beaten 40-14 at PREM Rugby leaders Bath conceding 35 in the first half. They will hope for a better result against Gloucester.
Munster are third in the United Rugby Championship, three points behind leaders Stormers. They have won three out of four at home this season, their only loss being inflicted by Stormers. The combined winning margin for those three wins was just six points.
Gloucester beat Castres 34-14 at home last weekend but the game was level at half-time. They only have Newcastle Red Bulls below them in PREM Rugby with one win and five defeats. They lost their first five league games before a home win over Harlequins.
All three away games this season have been lost with only 39 points scored and 104 conceded.
