The battle to consolidate a top four place in the Bundesliga is on this weekend with fourth placed Borussia Monchengladbach hosting Borussia Dortmund. Ahead of the game, fourth placed Monchengladbach have registered 46 points, two lesser than Dortmund who occupy third place. Monchengladbach will head to this clash unbeaten in their last five matches but will be more concerned with their defending, having managed no clean sheet in their last six matches. They will particularly be concerned with the fact that they have conceded goals very late in recent matches. In eight of their last nine matches, Dortmund have scored two or more. However, having lost two of their last three away matches, they will want to employ caution going to this game, especially with Monchengladbach proving lethal in attack. Dortmund have three wins and two losses in thei9r last five away matches in the Bundesliga and in the total 12 matches they have played away in the league this season, they have managed just five wins. Perhaps their run against Monchengladbach will carry their biggest hope and having already lost away to Bayern Munich they will be keen to avoid another loss to a top four team. They have conceded nine goals in the last four away matches in the league and they will want to defend better against a team with a very good run at home.
