Monaco and PSG are coming off contrasting outings in Europe to face off in the biggest match in Ligue 1 this week. In the 14th round of matches, league leaders PSG will be traveling to Monaco, who are currently eighth after a poor run of results. Let’s have a look at the prediction for this match.
Monaco have had a tough run in the past few weeks and will be looking to bounce back here, after going winless in the last three games. Theirs has been an inconsistent run, and not much will be expected of the hosts here, especially after drawing with Champions League minnows Pafos.
PSG, on the other hand, have not had their usual dominance but have found an edge to keep them on the right side of their competitions. They are coming from a Champions League thriller and will hope for a much easier win away at Monaco.

Monaco - PSG: Form Analysis
Monaco’s porous backline was exposed for the third straight game, as they drew 2-2 with Pafos in the Champions League on Tuesday. One of the men to beat Les Monegasques’ defence was a former PSG player, David Luiz.
Monaco have now conceded 10 goals in just their last three matches. In each of their last two league outings, they let in four goals.
They were battered at home by Lens 4-1 before Rennes took over with the same scoreline. There is a real danger PSG might give them the same treatment, and Monaco will be wary of that.
They did concede four or more in three of their last five meetings with PSG.
PSG are unbeaten away from home in their last six matches, winning four.
PSG came out on top in an eight-goal thriller against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League. Les Parisiens haven't had their usual explosive flair in Ligue 1 but are still two points ahead of their closest challenger.
They momentarily lost the lead to Marseille last weekend, but a 3-0 win against Le Havre returned them to the league summit. Luis Enrique’s men will now be looking to extend their lead further.
This isn’t an opponent they’ve faltered against a lot of times. Monaco last beat PSG in 2023, and across the five games that came after that, PSG scored 14 goals against Monaco.

Monaco & PSG Squad Analysis
Monaco will welcome back Folarin Balogun after serving a domestic suspension. Having scored in the Champions League in midweek, the US international will come with confidence.
However, Monaco will still miss a key man due to suspension—Denis Zakaria. The Swiss international, who only recently returned to the team from injury, was sent off in their last league game, against Rennes.
Paul Pogba is being eased back to action after two years without competitive football. He was a late sub against Rennes and was unused in midweek.
PSG’s Vitinha will be inspired for this match after scoring a midweek hat trick.
At PSG, this will be another game without Achraf Hakimi as the Moroccan nurses an ankle injury.
The defender is expected back in mid-December, and PSG might still be without him as the AFCON finals approach as well. Hakimi has scored twice in the league this season.
He is spending time out alongside Desire Doue, who has been sidelined for a month now, nursing a thigh injury.
