AS Monaco will host Montpellier on Sunday in the French Ligue 1 looking to get back to winning ways. The two teams sit in opposite halves of the table with Monaco in third and Montpellier down in 13th. Monaco are enduring a dip in form and their struggles were taken full advantage of by league leaders PSG last time out. Adolf Hutter’s men were thumped 5-2 in the capital to suffer their second defeat in the last four outings. The loss followed a drab 0-0 draw away to Le Havre. This inconsistent return has seen them drop six points off the pace. But as they are back home this weekend, Le Rocher will be confident of avoiding falling further behind. Monaco have registered five of their seven victories at their Stade Louis II base.

Montpellier have hit a snag and haven’t won any of their last four games. They have lost twice in this unwanted stretch with both defeats seeing them concede three times. Michel Der Zakarian’s men did however avoid defeat last time out thanks to a 1-1 draw with Clermont. The point moved them to 13 points, two above the relegation zone. Having won 4-0 the last time they were away against Monaco, La Paillade will arrive here confident of at least a point. Two of Montpellier’s three victories have come with them as the away side.
