Two sides on opposite ends of the Ligue 1 table, Monaco and Lorient, will be facing off in the 26th round. Third placed Monaco host this game seeking to consolidate their spot, while Lorient are in the survival race. At 45 points, Monaco are 11 points behind the league leaders and can best focus on automatic Champions League qualification. A top three finish will guarantee that, and being just two points ahead of the fifth placed side makes this a key game. A three-game unbeaten run coming into this encounter means they are the favorites here. Monaco beat struggling Strasbourg 1-0 in their last game, for their third win in the last five matches. Eliesse Ben Segnir scored the lone goal in the last game, their 13th win of the league this season. Six of those wins have come at home, four with clean sheets. The hosts will be confident of a win here, being unbeaten in four meetings with Lorient. However three of those four meetings ended in draws, including the reverse fixture.
