The third matchday in the French Ligue 1 pits AS Monaco against Racing Club de Lens at the Stade Louis II in the French Riviera. The hosts were dumped out of Champions League qualification in the third round by PSV before rescuing a point against Rennes in the league after being reduced to 10 men in the first 15 minutes. Monaco will hope to carry over their terrific home form from the 2021/22 season which saw them finish with a 12-4-3 record at the Stade Louis II. The Monegasques finished last season on a tear by winning nine of their final 10 Ligue 1 matches. Lens manager Franck Haise has done a terrific job with his side, converting them into formidable Ligue 1 opponents just two seasons after winning promotion from Ligue 2.
