Legia renew their quest to end a six-year wait for the Polish league title, travelling to face Pogon Szczecin in the 2026-27 Ekstraklasa Round 1 clash on Friday. Wojskowi have won three of their last four meetings against Portowcy and stacked up four wins in their final five preparatory friendlies, leading us to support the away side in our prediction.
After a 4–0 demolition by Fenerbahce in their penultimate fixture, Pogon Szczecin rounded off their pre-season schedule with a 1–0 defeat to Austrian side Sturm Graz. That result made it three losses in four matches for the team heading into the new season.
The Dockers appear set for a difficult opening assignment, welcoming the 15-time Ekstraklasa champions to Stadion Miejski im. Floriana Krygiera on Friday. They went winless in three of their final four league matches at the venue last season and have fallen twice in their last three home meetings with Legia.
