Miomir Kecmanovic vs James Duckworth Prediction & Betting Tips - Almaty Open

Round one of the 2026 Almaty Open will see two unseeded players battle it out. The winner of this indoor hard court match will take on second seed Luciano Darderi in round two. Duckworth has lost each of his last five matches and our prediction here is that Kecmanovic wins this match.

This could be close as Kecmanovic is only three places above his opponent in the rankings. He is also struggling for wins at present with four of his last five matches ending in defeat.  His most recent match was in the Jinan Challenger Tour event, losing to Alexander Shevchenko. 

Kecmanovic has played five indoor hard court matches this year, winning three of them. He was a quarter-finalist in Dallas.

James Duckworth is on a barren run at present. He hasn't won a match since the last day of August when he won his US Open first round match against Matteo Arnaldi. Since then, he has been beaten in five successive matches with only one set being won.

He also played in the Jinan Challenger Tour event and was beaten in straight sets by Liam Draxl.

On indoor hard courts this year, Duckworth has played just one match, losing in straight sets in Dallas.
