The Timberwolves come into this matchup with a 2-2 record. After losing 128-110 on the road to Los Angeles five days prior, the TWolves have since beat the Pacers and most recently lost to the Nuggets 127-114 at home.

Minnesota’s defense couldn’t cope with the Jokic and Murray combination, giving up 68 points to the championship winning pair. They’ve also had to make do without Anthony Edwards, who missed the last game and played only three minutes against Indiana.

There’s going to be a serious lack of star power in this game with Anthony Edwards missing out for the hosts and Luka Doncic and LeBron James missing out for the visitors. Indeed, the Lakers are still without their two stars with Doncic dealing with a finger injury and James still a few weeks away from a return.

Los Angeles fell to a hard-working Trail Blazers team 122-108 at home on Monday, snapping a two-game winning streak. They’re now sitting at 2-2 which puts them seventh in the standings, just ahead of the Timberwolves in eighth.
