Championship sides Millwall and Leicester will battle it out for the right to progress in the FA Cup with a third-round clash this Saturday. This match will be played at The Den with a place in the fourth round on offer. Millwall were eliminated in the third round of this competition in the last two seasons, so the Lions have a score to settle. They do come into this match with some form as tailwind, having won their last three games – each coming with a clean sheet. While that plays to their advantage, Millwall would be worried about their home form in the FA Cup, where they have lost their last four matches.

Leicester have a good pedigree in this competition, having reached at least the fourth round of the FA Cup in six of the last seasons. Interestingly, the last time they participated at this stage as a Championship side was in 2013/14 when they were beaten by Stoke City. The visitors are also coming into this match with some strong form, winning eight and drawing two of their last ten matches in all competitions. Leicester won this tournament in the 2020/21 season but have been beaten in the fifth and fourth round respectively in the last two campaigns. Staying on the road could help their endeavour to progress as the Foxes have won six of their last seven away FA Cup matches with the only loss in that sequence coming against Nottingham Forest.
