Millwall vs Ipswich Town Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Millwall face Ipswich Town on Wednesday night hoping to gain revenge for their 3-1 loss to the Tractor Boys in Suffolk back in November.  Three first half goals from Conor Chaplin, Massimo Luongo and Nathan Broadhead gave Ipswich a comfortable half time lead and Kevin Nisbet's late goal was simply a consolation for a Millwall team well outplayed in the game at Portman Road. The home side have not won a game in six games in all competitions, with just one draw in that period (at home against Preston). Their home form though is generally pretty solid of late, although they have probably drawn more games than they would like. It is certainly much improved from earlier in the season when they struggled to pick up anything at the New Den. The defeat at the weekend leaves Millwall in 18th place in the table.

Ipswich Town come into this game having secured a point at the weekend against West Brom. After a run of three games without a win, including two defeats prior to the game with the Baggies, this could be viewed as a more positive result for the fourth placed Tractor Boys who held onto fourth spot in the table, three points behind Leeds in third but with a game in hand on their Yorkshire promotion rivals. Kieran McKenna's team have struggled to pick up wins of late, drawing five of their last nine games, winning two and losing two in that run of games too. Ipswich's 40 goals conceded is the most out of all the top eight teams in the Championship and shows that defensively teams can find weaknesses in that back line, although with just four defeats. the joint-fewest in the division, turning those goals into a win has proven difficult against the Suffolk-based team.
