Millwall vs Derby County Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Millwall welcome Derby County to The New Den on Saturday afternoon for a Championship match. The Lions sit 18th in the table ahead of this contest while the Rams are 12th. This is an interesting clash for a prediction with the visitors awaiting their first point away from home.

Things have gone well at home so far this season for Millwall. They scored three times in their wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Preston in their last two on their own patch, picking up three points each time. They came from 0-2 down against Watford in their opening home game to 2-2 but then coughed up an injury-time winner for their visitors.

Going back to the end of last season, Millwall has won seven of their last ten at home. It is not the same intimidating atmosphere as it once was but it is still a fair enough record that they have.

Four games and four defeats is the away record for Derby since their return to the Championship. Dig a little deeper than that and it does not read as bad as you might think. This is an easier task than being kept off the scoresheet at Sunderland and Sheffield United in their last two on the road. 

They did at least manage to take the lead at Watford before succumbing 1-2. They also put two past Blackburn in the opening game of the season so they are capable of finding the net on their travels. Millwall has conceded in three of their four home games this season so Paul Warne's men will be hopeful of finding the net.
