Meralco Bolts face Blackwater Bossing in this 2025-26 Commissioner's Cup clash on Sunday. The Bolts will look to seal their spot in the playoffs with a win against the Bossing. Here is our prediction.
Back-to-back defeats against NLEX Road Warriors and San Miguel Beermen left Meralco Bolts’ top-eight hopes on a knife edge. However, the Bolts have repositioned themselves strongly in the race after an impressive 112–91 victory over Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on Friday.
Friday's win saw them rack up their sixth win in nine games in the competition, climbing to fourth in the standings. Another victory for Luigi Trillo’s side in Sunday’s contest will see them book their place in the next round.
Blackwater Bossing are at the opposite end of the form spectrum in the competition. The Bossing head into this contest already eliminated after losing eight of their 10 games.
They fell 123–119 to Macau Black Bears last time out, dropping to second from bottom at 2–8, and have lost their last two games against Meralco Bolts. Patrick Aquino's charges will look to round off their final two games on a strong note, but they have lost both of their recent matchups with Meralco Bolts.
