Melbourne City take on Central Coast Mariners in the A-League Grand Final. This match is being played at the CommBank Stadium in Syndey on Saturday June 3rd. Melbourne won the main season for the third successive season. It's the fourth Grand Final in a row for City but of the three previous ones they only won in 2021. They won the main season by 11 points with their opponents in this Grand Final finishing in second place. The City Blues were highly impressive on home soil with no defeats and ten wins in 13 games. Away form was also the best in the A-League but only six out of 13 matches were won. Winning the main season took them straight into the play-off semi-finals. They drew the away first leg at Sydney FC and then comfortably won the return fixture 4-0. Only one of their last six away matches has been won but 11 of the last 12 have seen both teams get on the scoresheet.

Central Coast Mariners last reached the Grand Final in 2013. That was their fourth time in the final but the only one that they have won. The Mariners did well to finish second in the main season and a form guide for the last five games had them top of the table. They are unbeaten in their last seven games with six wins and each of the last four being victories. The goals have been flowing with 11 scored in the last four. The last three have all been against Adelaide United and that includes a 4-1 aggregate win in the play-off semi-finals. They only earned a point against Melbourne City in the main season but look to be in better form now. A bet on both teams to score looks a winning one.
