Mauritania will be out to strengthen their African Nations Championship knockout hopes when they next face Burkina Faso. The two nations are battling it out in Group B with Mauritania currently in second, a point above third-placed Burkina Faso. Our prediction for this match follows below.
Mauritania have played three matches, one more than Burkina Faso, and occupy the final qualifying spot for the quarter-finals. They have accumulated four points thanks to a draw with Madagascar and a win over the CAR.
The Lions of Chinguetti, who lost to co-hosts Tanzania on matchday two, defeated the CAR 1-0 last time out. Their defensive solidity has paid dividends with just one goal conceded.
