Malmo vs Wolfsburg Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Sweden is the setting for the second leg of the Europa League Round of 32 duels between Malmo and Wolfsburg. The home side welcome their opponents after an entertaining game last week saw Wolfsburg emerge victoriously. But the 2-1 deficit that Malmo have to overcome won't daunt them, even if they are slightly rustier than Wolfsburg. The Swedish Allsvenskan runs from April to November so Malmo are at a disadvantage in terms of match fitness. That wasn't obviously evident during their match in Germany, the game played at a frenetic pace. They took the lead through a Kiese Thelin penalty early in the second half. They were in front for two minutes before Josip Brekalo equalised for Wolfsburg. Then, a deflected effort meant that Thelin was credited with a second goal - this one being put past his own keeper. Wolfsburg will feel that this goal was deserved and that it reflected their superiority. 

In the hunt for a European place in the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg have performed well away from home for much of this campaign. They have the seventh-best away record in the division and managed to avoid to defeat in their away group stage fixtures. Their last victory on the road saw them come out the right side of a 3-2 thriller against Hoffenheim. Travelling to Sweden won't be easy - Malmo are unbeaten at home in the UEL (seven games) this season - but we think that Wolfsburg have the quality to see out the tie in an assured fashion. We foresee a low-scoring game and advise you to place a bet on under 2.5 goals.
