Mallorca are only one place above the La Liga relegation zone. They bid to move up the table with a home win over 13th placed Alaves. The Pirates begin matchday 15 just a couple of points above the drop zone. Only one of their 14 league games this season has ended in victory. That was a 1-0 win at Celta Vigo in mid-September. Since that sole league win of the season, the Vermilons have gone nine games in La Liga without a victory. Last weekend saw them draw come-from-behind to get a 1-1 home draw with Cadiz. That ended a run of four league games without a goal. Home form for Mallorca has been great fun if you like seeing your team draw. Five out of six home league fixtures have ended in a stalemate with the other being a 1-0 loss to Villarreal in August. The last five have all ended level with four of them seeing under 2.5 goals scored.

Alaves are five points ahead of their opponents in the La Liga table. They have won four of their league fixtures but been beaten on seven occasions. Like their opponents, they do struggle to score goals in La Liga. Only 14 have been scored in La Liga this season, just one more than Mallorca have netted. The Blue and Whites have shown some improved form of late with two of their last three league games being won. Last weekend they beat Granada (who are in the relegation zone) 3-1 at home. On their travels, Alaves are yet to win away in La Liga with only two points from seven games and only four goals. We go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this game.
