Diana Shnaider, the 25th seed at the French Open, has battled her way to the fourth round, where she will take on 19th seed Madison Keys. This is their second meeting of the season and their fourth overall. A decider was needed to separate these sides in the last two meetings and that will form our prediction.

Keys has never lost against Shnaider. Though their matchups have been intense, she has always had enough to beat the Russian. Her most recent victory was in Brisbane back in January.

To set up their latest meeting, the American defeated ninth seed Victoria Mboko in three sets. She has now registered 11 of her 19 wins this season on clay. Keys, who has dropped to 25th in the live ranking, lost in the quarter-finals last season.

Diana Shnaider has been in fine form in Paris and has won all three of her matches without dropping a set. This dominant form has lifted her to her best-ever appearance at Roland Garros.

Shnaider, who is appearing in this major for a fourth season, had never progressed past the second round. The Russian defeated Oleksandra Olyinyikova in the last round. After a troubling start to the year, Shnaider has now won 16 of 27 matches and is back to 20th in the live ranking.
