Luton Town vs Hull Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship
by Sridhar | in Championship Prediction
Luton Town will have one eye on preparing for the playoffs while Hull City have practically nothing to play for, as they prepare for their last match of the regular season in the Championship. Luton have already qualified for the playoffs as third and will face the sixth-placed team in the playoffs, while the visitors are 14th and could finish at the same spot or at worst go one place down. This is the best league placing for Luton since 1991/92 and that is an apt indicator of how good their season has been. Luton are coming off a 1-1 draw against Blackburn in their last league match that extended their unbeaten run in the Championship. They haven’t lost a league match since mid-February, drawing five and winning eight matches hence. It gets better at home where they have won their last five Championship matches at this venue. Going further back, they have lost just once across their last nine Championship home matches whilst winning six and drawing two.
Hull are also coming off a 1-1 draw against Swansea that continued their tryst with stalemates. They have drawn five of their last eight Championship matches, winning two and losing one during the process. Ahead of this final matchday trip to Kenilworth Road, Hull will look at their away record and would be keen to improve that. They haven’t won on the road for nine Championship away matches, drawing five and losing four in the process. All that matters now for the Tigers is to maintain their league position of 14th and showcase this as progress, after last season's 19th-place finish.

Our Luton Town vs Hull Prediction
The regular season is practically over for both Luton Town and Hull City. At least for Luton, there’s the scope of play-offs to prepare for. As a third-place finisher, Luton will face sixth-placed team in the play-offs which is currently occupied by Millwall. Yet, the final matchday results can change the equations and a number of sides are fighting for the honours. All Luton can do is to cotninue what has been an impressive run-in to the playoffs and maintain their status as a challenger. They have been very strong at home and that could well continue to play a part in their play-off semis. Although Hull have very little to play for, they will be looking to finish 14th. Teams can be dangerous when they have nothing to play for even if the Tigers have struggled on the road. Regardless, this match could see some action at both ends of the pitch and we can see goals for both teams in this match. Our prediction for Luton Town vs Hull City is for both teams to score goals.
