Luke Littler continues his World Matchplay by taking on Josh Rock in the quarter-finals on Thursday evening. The Nuke is unbeaten in nine matches against Rocky, and our prediction is that he will progress to the final four from this encounter.
Luke Littler has looked solid in his title defence to this point, having stormed past Niko Springer 10-6 before overcoming Nathan Aspinall 11-8 in the first two rounds of this year's World Matchplay.
The Nuke averaged 109.53 in his opening match and took that up to 113.68 in Round 2. He pinned a perfect nine-darter in the first leg against the Asp and went on to record 14 180s in the match.
The teenage sensation has won 16 of his last 20 matches in all competitions. Notably, all four of his losses during this period came against Luke Humphries.
Meanwhile, Josh Rock has been one of the most impressive performers in this competition, as he has only dropped 10 legs in his two matches, beating Luke Woodhouse 10-4 and Stephen Bunting 11-6.
Against Bunting in the last round, Rocky averaged 91.18 and hit six (180s). However, he will be looking for improvement on his checkout conversion, which was an underwhelming 34.38% in that match.
Rock has now won seven of his last 10 matches in all competitions but has already lost six times to Littler since the start of 2026.

Our Luke Littler vs Josh Rock Prediction
Josh Rock has been very impressive in this year’s World Matchplay after reaching the semis in 2025, but he now faces the world's best player, who denied him a chance to progress to the final last year.
Luke Littler enters this match off the back of a record-breaking performance against Nathan Aspinall, where he set the tone for the match by pinning a perfect nine-darter in the very first leg. With Humphries out the competition, we fancy Littler to go all the way in Blackpool again this year. Our Luke Littler vs Josh Rock prediction is Luke Littler wins & most 180s.
