Neither of these two unseeded players have won a grass court match this year. That will change when Luciano Darderi faces Marcos Giron in round one of the Eastbourne International. Who'll break their duck? Here's our match prediction.

Marcos Giron is 46th in the live rankings and that's ten places above his opponent. The 31-year-old has played just one grass court event this year. He had a tough task in Halle against Alexander Zeverev and only won three games. That was his fourth straight loss, the others being on clay which he regularly struggles on.

The winner of this match will be up against either third-seed Flavio Cobolli or wild card Jacob Fearnley in round two.

Giron has been rather consistent at Wimbledon. His last four appearances at that Grand Slam have all seen him lose in round two. Last year went well for him as he won the grass court Hall of Fame Open.

Luciano Darderi has lost in his first match in both of the grass court tournaments he played this year. Losses were inflicted by Nicolas Jarry and Stefanos Tsitsipas, both in three sets. The Italian has only won three of his ten matches on this surface and just one main draw match at Wimbledon.
