Third-placed Los Angeles FC will look for revenge in the Western Conference when they host seventh-placed Houston Dynamo on Thursday. This MLS match will be played at the BMO Stadium in California. The hosts are three points behind St. Louis City in the Western Conference table. A win here will see them go up at least a spot, while having a game in hand. That’s easier said than done considering they are coming off a heavy defeat. It was none other than Dynamo who thumped them 4-0 in the last league game. Yet, the hosts still have the best defensive record in the division with only 14 conceded. It keeps their recent league record patchy though, with two defeats from their last six MLS matches, including two wins and draws each. The home form is much more confident with five wins and two draws this league season.

Dynamo’s win on last weekend over LAFC was a rare victory for them. It was just their second win across eight league games, losing four and drawing two. Despite that poor run, the visitors are in the top-seven spots and a win could see them consolidate the same. That won’t be easy though, considering their poor away form. The visitors from Houston are yet to win on the road this MLS campaign. They have lost six and drew twice in their eight MLS away games so far. Incidentally, they are yet to win an away game against LAFC as well. In the five MLS away head-to-heads, Dynamo have drawn one and lost four thus far.
