An Italian player will be in the final of Stuttgart's BOSS Open. Fifth seeded Lorenzo Musetti faces unseeded Matteo Berrettini with the winner up against either Jack Draper or Brandon Nakashima in Sunday's final. Musetti was in 30th place in the ranking list published on Monday. He's still 30th in the live rankings but reaching the final of this grass court tournament will take him up to 28th. That'll make the chances of his being seeded at Wimbledon this year looking a lot healthier. The 22-year-old has a good record in this tournament but has gone one round further than the quarter-final he reached last year. To get this far, he's had to go to a final set in two of his matches. His first round match against qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was won in straight sets but both went to a tie-break. He had to come from behind to beat Dominik Koepfer in round two and was did the same against Alexander Bublik. It was a set all and 1-0 to Musetti in the third when Bublik retired.

Matteo Berrettini has reached the Wimbledon final in the past and made it to the last 16 in 2023. He's won this title twice with wins in 2019 and 2022. Injuries have affected his career in recent years and he was 95th in the latest rankings. Reaching the last four here has taken him up to 74th place. Round one of this tournament saw him beat the eighth seed Roman Safiullin in three sets. Since then, he's had straight sets victories over Denis Shapovalov and qualifier James Duckworth. Winning this match will take him into his second ATP Tour final of the year and we believe he can get the victory.
