Livingston are coming from three wins in four League Cup games and have only lost once in the last five matches. Their scoring form has been good, netting in each of the five matches, and scoring two or more goals in four. However, they only have two clean sheets in the five matches. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and twice in the last five matches, they have conceded two or more goals. Livingston are winless in their last 14 matches against Glasgow Rangers; in that run of matches, they’ve managed just one draw.
In each of the last seven meetings with Livingston, Rangers have emerged winners and will be targeting the same here. Finalists in the Europa League last season, Rangers will be eyeing a good start. They finished the first phase of last season in second place and the same was the case in the second as they trailed Celtic by four points. The targets will definitely be higher this time and going into this game, they lost their final preseason game, falling 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur.
