Estadio Do Algarve will host the first leg Europa League Playoff round clash between Lincoln Red Imps and Braga on Thursday. The winner of this tie between the Imps and Os Arsenalistas will enter the Europa League main draw, while the loser will be transferred to the Conference League. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Lincoln Red Imps have already made history this year by becoming the first side from Gibraltar to reach the Europa League Playoff round. They are set to return to Europe for the first time since 2021-22. 

The Imps enter this match off the back of beating Magpies to the Super Cup over the weekend, which extended their current unbeaten run to three matches across all competitions. 

After bowing out of the Champions League qualifiers to Red Star Belgrade, they got past Noah via a penalty shootout in the last round of this competition.

Meanwhile, Braga are aiming to qualify for the Europa League for a second season in a row. Last term, they were eliminated in the League Phase with 10 points after eight matches. 

Os Arsenalistas were made to work in the first round of qualifying but managed to beat Levski on penalties before a more straightforward 4-1 aggregate win over CFR in the last round. 

The visitors have also started their domestic league season with two victories and are now unbeaten across all competitions so far this season (W4 D2 L0).
