Lille are on a quest to reclaim the Ligue 1 title and in that respect, they will have their third game of the season at home to the reigning champions, PSG. The hosts go into the game placed third with four points garnered from their opening two games while PSG have six points, at the top of the standings. Lille are unbeaten in their last three matches, the most recent ending in a 1-1 draw with Nantes, but they have to improve on their defence to be able to get anything against PSG. In the last five matches, Lille have managed just one clean sheet though they’ve failed to score in just one of their last five matches. Their Ligue 1 run has been shaky ahead of this clash, which they’ve lost in the last two meetings; they have two wins and zero clean sheets in their last five Ligue 1 matches, four of them producing over 2.5 goals.

PSG are in blistering form and have bought into new coach Christophe Galtier’s methods. In the opening two matches alone, they’ve scored 10 times and one player who’s really enjoying his time at the team is Neymar, who has been in good form right from preseason. The Brazilian has scored seven times in just the last four matches and will be a man to watch in this game too. PSG’s last meeting with Lille was at this same venue and it ended 5-1 in favor of the champions. They have scored three or more goals in each of their last five matches and they have three clean sheets in that run. Playing away from home will not bother PSG; they haven’t lost any of their last five on the road, winning four and scoring 21 goals and keeping three clean sheets.
