After a slow start to the season, seventh placed Lens can move into the European places if earning a point at home to Reims. They are currently outside the European places on goal difference with Reims in eighth place. Lens beat Sevilla 2-1 in midweek in their final Champions League group fixture. That confirmed their place in the Europa League knockout play-off round after Christmas. The Blood and Gold are unbeaten in their last ten league games. A big improvement seeing they'd earned just one point from their previous five. A form guide for the last ten league games has them in third place behind PSG and Nice. Home form has seen them win four of their seven league matches and the last three have all been won with eight goals scored.

Reims are only below their opponents on goal difference. Their current form is disappointing though with three of their last four league fixtures ending in defeat. The Red and Whites were beaten 2-1 at Nice in their last Ligue 1 fixture. It's not been an easy fixture list though with another recent loss being at leaders PSG. Their last league victory was a 2-1 home win over Strasbourg but their winner was an own goal. Away form has seen only one win in the last four with the last two both ending in defeat. Overall, Reims have won three away league games with the same number lost. Their last two league visits to Lens have both ended in defeat and we believe it'll be three after this weekend.
