The weekend’s Bundesliga action commences on Friday night, with Stuttgart visiting the Red Bull Arena to take on a high-flying RB Leipzig. Both sides come into this match with contrasting forms. The hosts are in a great rhythm at the moment and after a convincing 6-1 win over Schalke in their last match, they find themselves on a 10-match unbeaten streak, which includes seven wins and three draws. RB Leipzig’s home form has been equally excellent this season where they are yet to taste defeat, winning six and drawing two of their eight matches at the Red Bull Arena. The last time RB Leipzig lost on home soil was in May 2022, and they will be confident that they can keep that record intact against a Stuttgart side that has been very poor on their travels.

Stuttgart, on the other hand, starts this match at the wrong end of the table, in 14th place with 16 points in 17 matches. They are uncomfortably close to the relegation zone, just one point above Augsburg in 16th, and defeat in this one could see them slip into the drop zone if Augsburg and Bochum pick up a point in their matches. Stuttgart has won two, drawn two, and lost two of their last six matches, but their biggest problem has been their away form. The visitors have not won a single away match this season, drawing four and losing four. Looking further back, Stuttgart’s away form looks worse, failing to win in their last 18 matches on the road, with their last win coming back in December 2021.
