Polish side Legia Warsaw start their UEFA Conference League Playoff Round first leg tie against Kosovo's KF Drita as the strong favourites to progress into the league stage. The travelling Intelektualet will need more than just brain power to beat the Wojskowi at the Polish Army Stadium. Who does our prediction favour in this match?
Legia has progressed well through the Conference League's early rounds. They thrashed Welsh minnows Caernarfon Town 11-0 on aggregate in their first tie and followed that up with a 4-3 aggregate win over Brondby in the third qualifying round.
The Polish side were also in good form at the weekend, recording an emphatic 4-1 win over Radomiak Radom. They have scored in ten of their last eleven games and are one of four teams at the top of Poland’s Ekstraklasa with 10 points from five games.
Due to their Conference League exploits, KF Drita hasn’t played a domestic game in Kosovo yet. They defeated Breidablik 3-1 over two legs in the second qualifying round and edged out Auda 3-2 after extra time in the second leg of the third qualifying round.
They finished third in their domestic league last season, and it is fair to say that they have benefitted from some favourable draws throughout the Conference League's early rounds. Therefore, this will be a much tougher test for the Kosovans, especially with this first leg being away from home.
The winner of this tie will go into the draw for the league phase of the Conference League.
