Bologna on their part, also ended a poor start to the year, beating Udinese 2-1 away from home with second half goals from Nicola Sansone and Stefan Posch. That win ended a run of two straight losses and it was their second win in four matches while they have managed six wins in the last 10. Bologna started their Coppa Italia campaign much earlier; they played in the last two rounds, beating Cosenza and Cagliari 1-0 in both games. They are now set to play their first away game of this competition. They have one clean sheet in their last five matches, a run they hope to improve, but they’ve failed to score in just one of their last 11 matches. four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in five of Bologna’s last six matches.
