LASK Linz face RB Salzburg in a game that could define the Austrian Bundesliga season for both teams. With just two games to go, Dietmar Kuhbauer's Black-Whites good form has taken them two points clear in the table and four clear of The Red Bulls, who lie third under manager Thomas Letsch. Both teams have been finding the net regularly of late and goals certainly appear to be on the cards in this game on Sunday, hence our prediction for both teams to score in the match.
After the first League Stage of 22 games, LASK Linz lay third in the table, but in the Group Stage, they lost just once away to Rapid Vienna, before winning four of the next six, drawing two, as well as securing the Austrian Cup. They now sit on 33 points, two clear of Sturm Graz. Red Bull Salzburg led the league at one point, but now sit third on 29 points.
LASK's great form is shown by their run of recent results. A 1-1 draw away to Sturm Graz, their closest rivals was followed by a 5-1 away win over Hartberg and then a 4-2 win over Altach in the Austrian Cup Final. They followed that by beating Rapid Vienna 3-1 last week to go clear at the top of the table.
RB Salzburg beat Austria Vienna 3-1 home and away in successive Group Stage gameds, before losing 1-0 at Rapid Vienna and then they were held 1-1 at home by Sturm Graz.
