Thursday afternoon will see Kilmarnock welcome Aberdeen to Rugby Park for a Scottish Premiership match. Killie are 9th in the league table ahead of our prediction on the match while the visiting Dons are third.

It has been a lopsided start to the season for Kilmarnock. Only seven of their 18 games have been at home so far, picking up nine points both at home and away. Four of their next five (including this one) are at home so they need to start, taking advantage of opportunities.

Home goals have not been easy to come by this season but this could be a good opportunity for them to stretch their legs against a Dons side struggling for form.

Aberdeen beat Kilmarnock 2-0 back in August, the second of those goals coming when Killie were reduced to 10 men. They have hit a rough patch, failing to win in their last six league games.

A 1-1 draw at Hearts ended a four-game sequence that has seen them concede two plus in each game away from home. September was the last time that they picked up three points on the road in the league.
