Kei Nishikori has had an impressive year and proved that with a win over Roger Federer in his first group match. He reversed a couple of recent losses to the Swiss legend by beating Federer in straight sets. Recent months have seen Nishikori reach the finals of the Japanese Open and Erste Bank 500, the quarter final of the Paris Masters and the semi-final of the Metz Open. He's had a couple of losses to players ranked well below him (he's now back in the top ten) but must have had his confidence boosted by his victory over Federer. He beat Kevin Anderson in Paris winning in straight sets but had previously lost in straight sets to Anderson in the Erste Bank final.

Kevin Anderson must love London after reaching the Wimbledon final earlier this year. His form has been a bit patchy since that performance with his best efforts being the win at the Erste Bank 500 and a semi-final appearance in the Rogers Cup. Anderson has won two of his last three matches against Nishikori and both those wins were in latter stages of tournaments. He's put on some good performances this year and the tip here is for him to win this match.
