The first quarter-final in the Indian Super Cup will see the Kerala Blasters taking on Mohun Bagan at Kalinga Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The winner of this match between the Yellow Army and the Mariners will face either FC Goa or Punjab FC in the semis. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Kerala Blasters will be preparing to contest their first-ever quarter-final in the Indian Super Cup, having never got beyond the round of 16 in their four previous appearances in the competition. 

The Yellow Army earned their spot in the last eight of the competition with a 2-0 victory over East Bengal last week, thanks to goals by Jesus Jimenez and Noah Sadaoui. 

After ending the ISL season with two draws and a win, Kerala are now unbeaten in their last four games across all competitions. 

Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan are on course for a domestic treble. They won the ISL Shield by finishing six points ahead of Goa and secured the ISL Cup, beating Bengaluru 2-1 in the final.

The Mariners had never gotten beyond the group stage in this competition in their two previous appearances, but did so this season owing to the Churchill Brothers withdrawing from the competition. 

MBSG will be fairly confident in their chances of reaching the semi-final, as they have beaten this opponent in each of their last three encounters and scored two or more goals in each of those matches.
