Friday’s standalone J1 League matchup will see Kashiwa Reysol taking on the Urawa Red Diamonds. The Gold and Black are third, while the Reds are seventh in the league standings. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After a disastrous couple of seasons, Kashiwa Reysol have turned things around and are firmly in the title race this term, now with a chance of going back to the top of the table with a win here. 

The Gold and Black have stumbled in recent weeks, though, losing two of their last three league games, including a 2-1 defeat on the road to Fagiano last week. 

However, they are difficult to overcome at home, currently unbeaten in their last three matches at the venue, while having kept six clean sheets in their last nine. 

Meanwhile, the Urawa Red Diamonds can still make a push toward the upper echelons in the J1 League, as they are just four points behind the current league leaders with 12 games to go. 

The Reds won their last match 2-1 against Nagoya and are now unbeaten in their last four league games (W3 D1 L0). They’ve also scored two or more goals in five of their last six. 

On the road, their record is less impressive with just one win in their last five outings (W1 D2 L2). They lost the reverse fixture 2-0 back in March.
