Kariobangi Sharks will be back in action on Saturday, hosting Tusker FC in the Kenyan Premier League at Police Sacco Stadium. Heading into the match, Sharks are 10th with a point, two behind fourth placed Tusker. We have the preview and prediction for this encounter.

On the opening weekend of the season, Sharks played to a 0-0 draw with KCB. That extended their winless run to four matches, drawing from last season. It was a replication of last season’s opening result, when they drew the opening two matches.

Like in 2023/24, Sharks faced Tusker on Match Day 2, and they ended up drawing 1-1. This time, William Muluya will be looking to lead his charges to three points. The last time the two teams faced off, Sharks carried the day, winning 3-2.

Tusker have now failed to beat Sharks in back-to-back matches. They haven't failed to score against Sharks in the last five meetings though, and will look to keep that run going.

In their first match of the season the Brewers beat Sofapaka 1-0, winning their opening match for the second straight season. That was the team’s ninth unbeaten match in the Kenyan Premier League.

In that run, Tusker posted eight wins, only dropping points in a 2-2 draw with Nairobi City Stars. The team will this season target going one better after finishing second last term. Their 20 wins last season was only one less than the champions’ tally.

Where they lost it was in their nine defeats, as compared to Gor Mahia’s three, and ended up eight points behind the champions.
