The final day of Round 2 action at the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship will kick off with Jonny Tata taking on Ryan Meikle. The winner of this match between JT and The Barber will meet either Danny Noppert or Justin Hood in the third round. Let’s get into the match prediction.
A truck driver by trade, Wellington’s Jonny Tata made waves on debut at the World Championship last week when he secured a stunning 3-0 victory over Ritchie Edhouse.
JT averaged 89.63 in that match and pinned four 180s. He converted 9/24 of his checkout attempts, which was key to the result, and recorded a highest checkout of 90.
That result marked the first win for a New Zealander at this tournament since 2018. This will be the first time Tata faces this opponent in a listed matchup.
Meanwhile, Ryan Meikle put in a commanding first-round performance to defeat Jesus Salate 3-0 while only dropping one set. He has reached the second round of this competition regularly but has never got to round three.
The Barber managed three 180s and maintained a three-dart average of 89.14. He was excellent with his closing (52.94%) and pinned a highest checkout of 130.
Meikle has won four of his last 10 matches in all competitions, but is the clear favourite in this contest.
