Jessica Pegula vs Yue Yuan Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Korea Open

Top seed Jessica Pegula takes on unseeded Yue Yuyan in the final of the Korea Open. A win for the world number four will be her second WTA singles title of the year. Despite her high ranking, it would be the first time the American has won two singles titles in the same calendar year. Pegula will stay fourth in the rankings and fifth in the Live WTA Race regardless of the result of this final. The 29-year-old has been in good form of late with the Canadian Open won and a runner-up spot in the Pan Pacific Open. Pegula is playing in this tournament as a wild card and has only dropped one set on her way to the final. That was in the last eight against Claire Liu. The semi-final saw Pegula defeat Yanina Wickmayer in straight sets.

Her Chinese opponent was ranked 128th at the start of this Korea Open. This run to the final has seen her climb to 106th and a win over Pegula will take her to 89th. That'd still be below her career high of 74th achieved last November. The 25-year-old is playing in her first ever WTA Tour singles final. A couple of ITF tournaments were won on last year and on hard courts which is the surface this final will be played on. Yuyan showed some signs of good form in the recent China Open with a win over Elise Mertens who was ranked 29th at the time. Like her opponnent  only one set has been dropped on her way to this final. That was against Emina Bektas in the last four after losing the first set on a tie-break. We go for Pegula to win this in straight sets.
