Saturday’s second match in the El Salvadoran Liga Mayor sees second-place Isidro Metapán hosting seventh-place Municipal Limeño. We’ve got a prediction ready for this match between Los Caleros and Los Chancheros.

It was a tough outing for Isidro last weekend as they succumbed to a surprise 2-0 away loss to bottom of the barrel CD Platense. Isidro were sitting atop the standings heading into that match and had a golden opportunity to extend their lead at the top.

Instead, they come into this matchday 17 fixture in second-place and trailing Cacahuatique by one point. They’ll want to secure the full three points here as third-place Aguila have a game in hand advantage over them while trailing Isidro by just one point.

Isidiro have reeled off four wins in their last six appearances and have only been kept off the score sheet three times in their 14 matches.

Municipal Limeño are fighting for a playoff spot. With the top eight teams qualifying, Limeño have a fairly comfortable six-point lead over ninth-place Fuerte with six matches remaining.

The visitors cruised to a dominant 4-0 home win over the aforementioned Fuerte last weekend, ending a three-match winless run. It was the highest attacking production that the club has produced this season with their previous highest goal tally being two.
